Dear
families,
We
leave in just a few days for beautiful Paris !!!! ( I hope you pronounced that
“Pareeee” J
)
I have
a few points to go over and some documents to share.
· Attached you’ll
find the following documents:
o Medex
Travel Insurance facts and cards – I have printed these for your
students; please just keep the files for your reference.
o A list
of the SVHS students along with their host student’s name, address and
phone number.
o A
series of maps that show the locations of each host family home
(including mine) and the school.
· Please
remind your son or daughter to only pack and bring what he/she can carry. We
will have to carry our own luggage.
· Bring a
compact umbrella or poncho each day. Also, the students should be bringing a
notebook (could be small) to school with them to record their notes and class
participation. Under no circumstances should our students do any other work in
the French classrooms. Our students are attending morning classes in order to
learn and see how a French school operates.
· Homework
for SVHS classes MUST be worked on and completed for Monday, October
22nd. Each evening the students should use their time to finish
assignments. Their French host will also have homework to work on. No
procrastination!
· The
students will need a small travel bag – could be their carry-on or backpack for
the Monday/Tuesday trip to Normandy.
· Students
should not go to clubs or other events where alcohol is served. Our students’
safety is my number one concern. Please have a discussion with your child
regarding rules abroad – which means – SAME AS IN THE USA.
· Please
remember to meet at the airport at 1:30 on Monday. We’ll be flying AIRFRANCE,
so please make your way to “international departures”. Mr. Isaacson (Steven’s
dad) is offering to bring any students to the airport, if they’ll need a ride.
o The van
can hold 5 more kids and/or luggage. Check the email for contact information.
Did I
forget anything – if so – PLEASE ASK!!!!! I am always available in person, in
email and over the phone
Thank
you!
